Kamelios

Salento Red Blend

The Vetrere Di Annamaria E Francesca Bruni Kamelios is a captivating red blend hailing from the enchanting Salento region, known for its sun-soaked vineyards and rich winemaking tradition. This wine showcases a beautiful deep red color, enticing the senses right from the start. On the palate, it strikes a harmonious balance, offering a medium-bodied profile that is both approachable and satisfying. The acidity is bright and lively, enhancing the wine's fruit-forward character, which features prominent notes of ripe blackberries and cherries. Rounded by medium tannins that provide a gentle structure, Kamelios is an inviting choice that beautifully complements a variety of dishes. Its dryness accentuates the fruit flavors, making it an excellent companion for both casual meals and special occasions.

Region:

Puglia
Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
